Celebrating Halloween and Diwali at The Chelsea Nursery

We had a wonderful week filled with creativity, exploration, and celebration here at Chelsea Nursery! The children were enthusiastic participants in all our Halloween and Diwali activities.

Our week began with a flurry of Halloween-themed activities, sparking curiosity and creativity in all the children. We loved using paint, glue, and textured materials to make Halloween-themed crafts, encouraging fine motor development as the children handled a variety of tools and practised coordination. The children loved exploring sensory play with themed materials like squishy “pumpkin guts” and slimy “witches' brew.”

The week culminated in a costume day on Thursday. The children dressed up in an array of imaginative outfits, enjoying the chance to explore identity and self-expression while engaging in role-play with their friends.

In addition to Halloween, we introduced the children to the vibrant festival of Diwali. Together, we made Clay Diya Lamps.

The children loved shaping clay to create their own Diwali lamps!
